This is a Royal Quiet De Luxe typewriter in black and gray from the early 1950s. It is a reconditioned working typewriter and is ready to use.
This version of the Royal QDL was designed by noted American industrial designer Henry Dreyfuss in the late 1940s. It features "tombstone" keys that are designed to fit the fingertips of the average person, as well as clean, streamlined styling that makes it distinct from other typewriter that bear the Quiet De Luxe name. The Dreyfuss Quiet De Luxe was only produced for a few years, and this specimen is in excellent condition.
As with all my typewriters, I have cleaned, and lubricated this vintage machine, and have pre-installed a new black/red ribbon. It is ready to go as soon as you get it home.
