Former hoses responsible for extinguishing many a fire make a wry comeback as a durable carrier for logs, your yoga mat, gardening tools, or any luggable objects that light your fire. Micah Landworth serendipitously discovered the material at a fire station in his local Oakland, California. After the fire hose was retired, the station donated swaths of the sturdy material to the Oakland Zoo for orangutan swings, but unfortunately the remnants were bound for the landfill...that is, until Micah stepped in! Intrigued by the distinctive colors, patterns, scuffs, and tatters that give each hose character, he resourcefully repurposed the material into a clever carrier that makes the most of its practically indestructible nature. Handmade in Oakland, California.
